WP Peel Off
WP-Peel off is a free and super simple wordpress plugin with a totally straightforward purpose: to pull people onto your target. Hardly anybody can resist the temptation to finger stuff. “Play drive” is an inherited trait of humanity, completely overwhelming. Especially if something wiggles and squirms.

So let your visitors do, what they crave to do while you lure them to where you really want them to land. WP-Peel off pulls off just this mighty trick.
- Curiosity catches the customer. Mystery increases conversion rates.
- Works best on sites for people with an infantile regression syndrome.

Here’s how you pull it off:
- Name your peel-off.
- Turn it on.
- Paste in your IP for a quick test run.
- Allocate your pre-moused picture.
- Allocate your post-moused picture.
- Allocate your target URL.
- Set your time frame.
- Save and shoot.
You’re done in seconds!
We are born lazy, stubborn and vain. Once we’ve made a decision we are quite reluctant to review it. So once you’ve got your visitor to flip, he’ll most likely want to click as well. That makes WP-Peel off such an alluring click teaser.
Click-teasing for free.
Don’t resist!

i was reading the first paragraph & already knew what the plugin did, but then saw that funny hand at the top and was like whats that doing there.
Guess that’s the point isn’t it! Short buss here I come.
I’ll install this on some of my sites to test it out. You got me, and I’m pretty hard to get. Well so my wife says.
Those frogs are gay (in the good ‘happy’ way i mean).

Hi there,
I downloaded this a couple of days ago. Technically it works well. I am not sure if it really increases the number of clicks, but it definitely is a cute gadget to seduce me to put more effort and creativity in site creation and layout. That in itself was worth the price for admission. But you don’t even charge one!
Cool job you’ve done and thanks a lot.

Hi Guys,
Great plugins you created here…
With this one I have a little problem though. After I changed the target URL the peel was gone from the pages. I tried to change the URL into another but didn’t work… What is wrong here??
Tnx for your support
Robert

Hi Robert,
Sorry, Murphy’s law
When editing a previously saved peel off the pages/posts need to be selected again.
We fixed this, now it will save the previous pages/posts when editing a peel off.
The latest version is available for download now from the link again.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hey guys,
Is there anyway to NOT open the link in a new tab upon clicking?
Tried to remove any instances of target=”_blank” in the php but still seems to be doing it…
Cheers & thanks for the awesome plugins.

Hi Evan
The target is defined in the flash file provided in the plugin, not the php or javascript. You can edit the target to “self” directly in the flash file (large.swf), or you can create a support ticket and one of our techs will provide you with an edited version of large.swf.
Have a good weekend

Hi Evan,
Quick update..
We just updated WP Peel Off to V1.1, this version now allows you to choose if the link will open in a new window, or stay in the same window.
Enjoy

Hey Ryan,
been messing about with all your plugins here and though the combo os WP Spin and WP Importer is the power duo for me – and I’m sure you understand why more than I do even…. when used properly that combo is a killer as stated in my other comment…
But I’ve never gotten around to testing peel ads and always was skeptical if they indeed work or not, but since your so kindly I must say giving this away I’m gonna load it up on some of my sites and see how it performs… will report back.
Can’t wait for mothership – i’m sure you are sick of hearing it… but i’m rooting for you guys as you iron out things. In the meantime all my seo contacts have been mentioning what you are doing here, you are generating some VERY well deserved buzz.
James/O
ps – yeah I’m trying to grab a link here with my name, true true…. maybe out of line?
but if its cool with you, you should know me by my email addy etc. I hope. change if my bad.

thanks James & happy testing
no problem on the link, non spamments deserve their inks to get approved.

Hello!
I have a WordPress MU and the plugin doesn’t show up on the english site… Are we able to use this plugin in network sites?
By admin October 7, 2011 - 2:03 am
Hi Danny,
All of our plugins are designed for stand alone wordpress installations. Not WP-MU blogs. Some plugins may work in that environment, some may not. I’m not a big fan of WP-MU sites personally.
By Dany October 7, 2011 - 10:07 am
Hi! I have installed your WordPress Peel Off plugin on a WordPress MU installation. Unfortunately, the peel off page appears only on the french website, not the english. Can you tell me how to resolve this issue? It would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Dany

I am sorry, I just saw your answer. I am not a big fan either, but this is the installation somebody else did about a year ago. I also noticed the plugin is ok on Chrome, Firefox but doesn’t appears on internet explorer. Have you noticed that?

I can not see anything. Maybe I am doing something wrong. But I just installed a fresh wp install just trying this plugin so There can not be any conflict or something like that.
Please advise me.

I’m really pleased I was recommended to this site – and well done on such a range of interesting options.
I’m certainly after CONTENT at the moment so will work on that first as you recommend.
I hope the Mothership will be connected to the Motherlode!!!

Hi there! I recently installed WP Peel-Off on my website. Unfortunately, the peel off does not show. Could it be possible that the plugin is in conflict with my theme?
By admin December 17, 2011 - 6:34 am
There could be a conflict with a theme, but not likely. The plugin requires flash to display on a site. If your browser does not support flash them it will not display. If you’re still haven’t troubles getting it to display grab a support ticket and we’ll have a tech take a peek for you.

I’m using the peel-off on one of sites that I’m just getting started on and it works great. I can even view it on my wife’s Nookcolor. Thanks, Ryan and crew.
